About Us

After working in a range of different industries and dealing with some of the more devastating blows that life deals us, 2008 saw Care Beyond Measure Director Sam Tayeh in love and in Bendigo!

Sam knew that he wanted to do something different and that he wanted to work for himself. He had experienced the need that many people have for in-home care and knew that he had the expertise to offer a service to the people of Bendigo that was compassionate and caring as well as skills-based.

As Sam says, “We are committed to provide in-home care services to all people with different care requirements, affording them the reassurance and comfort of being in their own environment. We support individuals to live as independently as possible in their own home.”

Care Beyond Measure strives to provide every client they support with the five key values that underline everything they do: Independence, Participation, Care, Self Fulfillment and Dignity.

In addition to this, Sam also saw the need to recognise the work that the carers perform. This has led Sam to working with Continuing Education Bendigo to create a new qualification called ‘One for Care’. This is a combination of Certificate III in Home and Community Care, Certificate III in Aged Care and Certificate III in Disability, and is exclusive to Care Beyond Measure employees.

"We are also committed to our team of accredited personal carers, understanding that the people who work in this industry have long been over-looked and under-appreciated,” says Sam.

"Our commitment to acknowledging the level of skill and compassion required for this work has lead us to create a new qualification available only to Care Beyond Measure people."

From Lisa

“Our son, who is intellectually disabled, loves aeroplanes and anything to do with flying. He found a model plane club who was keen to have him join, but I don’t drive and he can’t travel by himself and am working when the club meets, so we really didn’t think he could go. Then Donna, our case manager, suggested Care Beyond Measure might be able to help. She rang Sam and he found another aeroplane nut who takes Ben off to the club every week, stays with him and helps him and brings him home. I can’t tell you what a difference this has made to our week and to Ben’s life!”
