Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you provide?

Our services include personal care, respite care, home help, live in care as well as home and garden maintenance. We can look after anything from daily personal care and independent living skills to transport and the maintenance of a safe home environment.

How long does it take to get services started in my own home?

It only takes 24hrs from when the paper work is completed. We complete a client profile so we understand who we are working with and what your specific needs are. We also detail a service plan that tells our carers what tasks they will be doing for you.

How do you choose a carer for me?

We work with you, your family and your medical advisors to find the best carer for your needs. Most importantly, we choose a carer that will suit your personality. A good care relationship is built on mutual liking and trust so together we will find you a perfect match.

Will I have the same carer all the time?

Yes, you will have the same carer each time unless he or she is ill. We understand that having different carers each time can be unsettling and awkward. That is not acceptable. We want you to be comfortable and confident in your care and the best way to achieve that is through continuity.

Do you have male carers?

We certainly do. If you prefer a male carer, that will be no problem.

Are you carers covered by insurance?

Yes, they are fully covered so there is nothing for you to worry about.

What qualifications do your carers have?

We train our own staff so they all achieve:

•    Certificate III in Home and Community
•    Care Certificate III in Aged Care
•    Certificate III in Disability

In addition, we only choose carers who show the same commitment to our very high professional care standards that we do. Qualifications are important: attitude is vital.

How long can I have your services?

You can have our services as long as you need them. Whether you need us just for a few days for respite care or daily on an on-going basis, we are here for you.

What happens if I am not happy with the care?

Let us know immediately. If something isn’t right we want to know so we can correct it. Contact the office straight away on 035444 5662.

How do we pay?

There are no fees if you are funded by the Government. Self-funded clients can pay by cheque, or bank deposit.  You and your family or friends can also purchase care and respite vouchers (which are redeemed against our invoice.) Our fees are discussed in detail and are documented in a service agreement so that you are totally aware of all the charges.

I have more questions so who can I talk to?

You can talk to any of our helpful staff. They will be able to answer all your questions. You can call us on 035444 5662 or make an enquiry through the contact form on our website.

From Glenda

“Since my stroke two years ago, I haven’t been able to walk or dress or toilet myself – but I am getting better and I won’t be giving up! My husband has been a saint but I knew he missed playing competition golf on Saturdays. My OT mentioned that she had heard of a company that could come over and he could go and enjoy himself without worrying about me. We called Sam and before I knew it, not only did I have a companion on Saturdays but Kath has since turned into a close friend. And we don’t stay home either! Husbands aren’t renowned for their shopping skills so Kath and I can often be found enjoying ourselves at the local shopping centre.”
