One For Care

Why you should consider the career of a professional personal carer with Care Beyond Measure:

Never be out of work. In-home care needs are growing by the minute and people with the enthusiasm to assist others are in high demand.

We offer a career path, not just a job. ‘One for Care’ is a new and unique program tailored at preparing professional carers to deliver a quality, client centered service. A career path with individual support, mentoring and nationally recognised qualifications is yours.

We offer complete training and job opportunities at the successful completion of the course. ‘One for Care’ training is in the classroom and on the job for 22 weeks. Continuing Education Bendigo in partnership with Care Beyond Measure helps you to achieve completion in three carer-based certificates as well as a minimum of 96 hours of on-the-job training.

In order to be eligible,  Applicants must be prepared to commit to a signed 12 months employment contract with CBM following satisfactory completion of the program.

Education and Business collaborating to support you. The program is partially funded by ACFE and partially fee for service. On successful employment with Care Beyond Measure, we will contribute $250 towards your fees.

On successful completion – you obtain three nationally accredited certificates from Continuing Education Bendigo and employment at Care Beyond Measure.

Certificate III in Disability
A minimum of 96 hours of on the job training with a CBM mentor


'One for Care' COURSE DETAIL

 

Courses commence at various times throughout the year. Please contact us to find out the next commencement dates.
Courses run 2 days per week for 22 weeks. Three weeks of classes at ‘Lancewood’ on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, then on the job training will commence. A minimum of 6 hours of on the job training per week, as per CBM's spread of hours from Monday to Sunday, weekend training expected.

“Our son, who is intellectually disabled, loves aeroplanes and anything to do with flying. He found a model plane club who was keen to have him join, but I don’t drive and he can’t travel by himself and am working when the club meets, so we really didn’t think he could go. Then Donna, our case manager, suggested Care Beyond Measure might be able to help. She rang Sam and he found another aeroplane nut who takes Ben off to the club every week, stays with him and helps him and brings him home. I can’t tell you what a difference this has made to our week and to Ben’s life!”
